How Your Equipment Ships
Large fitness equipment ships via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight. Here's everything you need to know about receiving your pallet delivery.
What is LTL Freight?
Unlike standard parcel shipping (UPS, FedEx), large and heavy gym equipment ships on pallets via freight carriers. Your equipment is securely crated, shrink-wrapped, and strapped to a pallet, then loaded onto a shared trailer alongside other freight shipments. This is called Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipping.
LTL freight is the safest and most cost-effective way to ship heavy equipment like power racks, functional trainers, and cable machines across the country.
The Shipping Process
Order Processing
Your equipment is picked from our warehouse, carefully inspected, and palletized. Each piece is secured with industrial shrink wrap and banding straps to prevent any movement during transit.
Carrier Pickup
TForce Freight picks up your pallet from our distribution center. At this point you'll receive a PRO tracking number and can monitor your shipment in real-time on this tracking page.
In Transit
Your shipment moves through the national freight network. Depending on the distance, it may transfer between terminals. Transit typically takes 3–7 business days, though exact timing depends on your location.
Delivery Appointment
When your shipment arrives at the local terminal, the carrier or our team will contact you to schedule a delivery window. Someone 18 or older must be present to receive and sign for the delivery.
Curbside Delivery
The driver will lower your pallet to the ground at your curb or driveway using a liftgate. Standard LTL delivery is curbside only — the driver is not able to bring the pallet inside or up stairs.
What to Expect on Delivery Day
- You'll be given a delivery window (typically a 4-hour window)
- The driver will call approximately 30 minutes before arrival
- An adult (18+) must be present to sign for the delivery
- The driver will use a liftgate to lower the pallet to ground level
- Delivery is to the curb, end of driveway, or garage entrance
- Have a clear path for the driver to access your delivery area
Inside Delivery
What is Inside Delivery?
Standard LTL freight delivery is curbside only. If you need your equipment brought inside your home, garage, or building, you can request inside delivery as an additional service.
- Equipment is moved to a ground-floor location of your choice
- Must be requested before your delivery date
- An additional fee may apply depending on the shipment
- Inside delivery does not include stairs, assembly, or unpacking
Inspect Your Shipment
Important: Inspect Before Signing
Before signing the delivery receipt (Bill of Lading), carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of damage.
- If packaging is damaged: Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Write "damaged" or "possible damage" next to your signature.
- Take photos of any external damage to the packaging and the product inside.
- If product is damaged: Contact us within 48 hours at info@betterbodyequipped.com with photos and your order number.
- Signing "clear" (without noting damage) may affect your ability to file a freight claim.
